SERVICES

PFID-F&V offers a wide range of activities and services through its partnership approach. Each of these is tailored to the specific needs of the members of the partnership. For example, in our host countries, PFID-F&V team members:

  • Identify fresh and processed F&V marketing opportunities—locally, regionally and globally—for small scale farmers, processors and exporters;
  • Identify the requirements for market access: required quality and safety, timing, volume, and commercial practices;
  • Build the capacity of agribusinesses in meeting quality and safety standards requirements: short courses for farmers and their organizations, agrifood processing and exporting firms, and government officials;
  • Build business partnerships throughout the supply chain and on a global basis and link partnerships to meet 12 months supply requirements;
  • Establish business linkages with other development organizations, associations and NGOs to accomplish our mission;
  • Identify constraints to meet market requirements; and
  • Provide training in food safety, quality and food security.
